The correct path for the Topaz applications - where they are installed and run from as standalone apps is:

So to me it seems Capture one is just looking in the wrong place - that is why i am asking if could be made CONFIGURABLE, then it is configured once by the user, rather than Capture One getting it wrong. Then reselecting them just sets the flag to true in both sets of lines:

ones WITHOUT a full path:Ĭ:\program files\windows photo viewer\photoviewer.dll

If i then deselect the Topaz applications in the preferences > plugin the xml file does get update BUT also ADDITIONAL PATHS for the Topaz applications are added. The it is still the same issue - the applications are listed in the preferences and also the Edit/Open with menus, but nothing happens when selected via the Edit/Open with menus from Capture One - NOTE the lack of Topaz ICONs - which suggests in the first place the ICON cannot be read from the exe file - thereby it can't be looking in the right place for the exe file.

If i manually change (using notepad++) to include the full path of each topaz application to the following:Ĭ:\program files\affinity\designer\designer.exeĬ:\program files\corel\corel aftershot pro 3\build\aftershot.exeĬ:\program files\corel\corel photomirage (64-bit)\photomirage.exeĬ:\program files\on1\on1 effects 2019\on1 effects 2019.exeĬ:\program files\on1\on1 photo raw 2019\on1 photo raw 2019.exeĬ:\program files (x86)\nch software\pixillion\pixillion.exeĬ:\program files\topaz labs llc\topaz adjust ai\topaz adjust ai.exeĬ:\program files\topaz labs llc\topaz gigapixel ai\topaz gigapixel ai.exeĬ:\program files\topaz labs llc\topaz denoise ai\topaz denoise ai.exeĬ:\program files\topaz labs llc\topaz jpeg to raw ai\topaz jpeg to raw ai.exeĬ:\program files\topaz labs llc\topaz mask ai\topaz mask ai.exeĬ:\program files\topaz labs llc\topaz sharpen ai\topaz sharpen ai.exeĬ:\program files\topaz labs llc\topaz Sstudio 2\topaz studio 2.exeĬ:\program files\sony\imaging edge\viewer.exe Notice there is NO actual path unlike say for the Affinity application which does:Ĭ:\program files\affinity\photo\photo.exe The BuiltInOpenWithPluginSettings.xml just has the topaz applications as (just showing the denoise): or add all the features from the other applications in to Capture One so that you don't need the other applications. browse to it once and then Capture One has learnt where it is.Įither way, the external application plugin launch needs to be fixed. I have no idea where to go from here - but if you made the Plugin Paths selectable/configurable through the Plugin Preferences so at least you know you have configured Capture One to point to where the application is installed rather than Capture One trying to figure it out or perhaps make it 'learnable' - i.e. but obviously when selected, although C1 tried to execute Topaz Denoise AI.exe from that directory, Topaz Denoise AI failed with an error. So just as a quick test, i put a copy of the Topaz Denoise AI.exe in that directory - the Topaz Denoise AI ICON now displayed in the Edit With list. except for the denoise application which worked.Ĭapture One is trying to access all the Topaz applications from the same directory of C:\Program Files\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz DeNoise AI - regardless of where the application is actually installed.Įach Topaz application is actually installed under its own directory:Ĭ:\Program Files\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz | path - System.IO.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files\Phase One\Capture One 20.0.3\Plugins\OpenWith\Topaz Denoise AI.exe Then tried grepping through the logs and came across this - basically the path to the Topaz applications is wrong. Looking through the logs, and i am now expert, there are various lines stating unable to find the exe files - which is not surprising because they are not located in the directories Capture One is looking in.Īt one point tonight, Edit With Topaz Denoise actually worked - and i noticed that when it did work, the Topaz application ICON was next to the plugin name - unlike the other Topaz application plugins - they were listed by no icon next to them. The Plugings for the Topaz applications (Studio, Mask Sharpen, DeNoise, Gigapixel, Adjust, Mask) are all listed in the Plugin preferences AND ticked, BUT they do not work.Īlso as a note the Topaz Application ICONS are NOT shown - suggesting Capture One cannot even read the icon from exe file of the application. The Plugins Edit With/Open With for Affinity works fine. I currently use other imaging applications such as Topaz and Affinity.
